Talking World Tourism Day 2019!
World tourism day 2019, the world celebrates this annual event every September 27th. Certainly, the event seeks to create possible solutions to common difficulties for Millennium Development Goals.
It features and recognizes the commitment of the tourism industry towards achieving these objectives. Altogether, the world tourism day is organized by the United Nations World Tourism Organizations, UNWTO.
The Major purpose of the World event
To cultivate and create awareness among the society globally on the significance of tourism. And of course, it’s social, political, financial and also cultural worth and value.
Recent History of these World tourism celebrations in September 2018
The Cambodia capital of Phnom Penh was the coordinator and official host of the 2018 event. It was basically authorized by the European Council on Tourism and Trade. Besides, that year’s topic; “Tourism for Protecting Culture and Heritage.”
However, in another case, let’s consider the president of the European Council on Tourism and Trade’s words. Dr Anton Caragea maintains “Tourism is the best teacher on the planet.”
Details of this year’s World tourism celebrations 2019
India is hosting the World Tourism Day celebrations this year. Furthermore, the topic is ‘Tourism and Jobs: A better future for all’. In Uganda, the celebrations go to Gulu town.
On the same note, the Association of Uganda Tour Operators (AUTO) organized a Caravan traveling to Gulu for this occasion. It departs from Kampala on this September 26th.
Moreover several tourism sites in Gulu, Pader, and Amuru towns on are on the bucket list. These include; Fort Patiko, River Aswa, Guruguru Hills and Caves, Amoro Hot Springs and Aruu Water Falls.
