Day1 of the 14 Days Gorilla Trekking & Expedition Tour:
Transfer to Murchison Falls
After breakfast, meet and greet with Driver/Guide at your Hotel in Kampala. You make a brief stopover at Zziwa rhino sanctuary for Rhino tracking and may see the Shoe-bill Stork. This takes about two hours, have lunch and proceed to Murchison falls National Park. Upon reaching, ram into a choice lodge.
Day 2 of the 14 Days Gorilla Trekking & Savannah Expedition Tour:
Game Drive & Boat Cruise
A pre-breakfast game drive to spot early risers atarts. And thereafter, return to your lodge for breakfas.t Board the afternoon Launch Cruise to the bottom of the falls. Glance at elephants, crocodiles, hippos, and water birds. For instance the kingfisher, shoe bill, and many more. Overnight at lodge in the park

Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
This day is reserved for your drive to Kibale forest National Park. The drive takes a better part of the day driving. You reach late evening with a stopover for lunch en-route. Dinner and overnight in Fort portal at choice hotel or lodge
Day 4 of Gorilla Trekking &Savannah Expedition Tour:
Chimpanzee Tracking
Report to the park headquarters for briefing after breakfast at your lodge. You are allocated a guide. Continue to the forest to search for Chimpanzees. You definitely find Chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Moreover lots of other forest specialists are eadily seen as you traverse the forest.
Other primates to see include; the black and white colobus, and vervet monkeys among some. Have lunch and visit the Bigodi wetland, another birding paradise. While there, you glance at several primates and birds. Dinner and overnight in fort portal at choice hotel or lodge
Day 5 of Gorilla Trekking & Savannah Expedition Tour:
Amabere Caves & Spotlit Night Game Drive
Serve breakfast, drive to the Fort portal crater lakes area. We are here to see the breast like features. They hang on the roof of the cave with whitish / milk like substance tickling out.
This certainly is a result of a ‘chemical reaction between water and calcium carbonate’. Additionally, forming stalactites and stalagmites, in the course of years. These are called ” Amabere ga Nyina Mwiru” a local word for breasts of Nyinamwiru.
According to an oracle; Nyinamwiru daughter to king Bukuku, would get married and have a son. This boy would dethrone his grandfather. So in a fit of rage, Bukuku decided to kill her.
He cut off her breasts and threw them in the cave. However, he never knew that Nyinamwiru already nursed a child called Ndahura. This is the boye that made the prophecy true.
A hike to the bottom of the caves can be made but the terrain is slippery. You are reminded to carry; sturdy walking shoes, water, light snacks and light rain gear. The hike leads you to the hissing Amabere waterfalls.
Proceed with the drive to Bundibugyo, home, to the Semliki National park. Settle into your the lodge on arrival. Enjoy a guided spot lit forest walk at night to spot nocturnal wildlife.
Day 6 of Gorilla Trekking & Savannah Expedition Tour:
Hot Springs Visit & Shoe Bill Boat Ride On Lake Albert
Visit the Sempaya hot springs after breakfast. Here lies the opportunity to explore the medicinal aspects of these hot springs. Boil eggs till ready also in the hot springs. From lunch, enjoy a birding canoe ride on Lake Albert to trek for the endangered shoe bill. Dinner and overnight at lodge in the park
Day 7 of Gorilla Trekking & Savannah Expedition Tour:
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Evening Game Drive
Have breakfast, leave Semliki and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Check into your lodge and have lunch. In the evening, enjoy a game drive in the crater lakes region. Dinner and overnight at chosen lodge
Day 8 of Gorilla Trekking & Savannah Expedition Tour:
Game Drive & Launch Cruise on Kazinga Channel
Savor breakfast, join the morning Game Drive in the park to see lions, baboons, elephants, and warthogs. Other game to see include; antelopes, giraffes and among others. Return to your lodge for lunch then enjoy an afternoon launch Cruise along Kazinga channel.

Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha Sector
Take breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive to Bwindi impenetrable forest via Ishasha sector. Whither you are most likely see the tree climbing lions. You reach Bwindi in the late evening. Check into your lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 10 of Gorilla Trekking & Savannah Expedition Tour:
Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
After breakfast, report to the park headquarters at 8 am for briefing. After that, embark on your Gorilla trekking spree. Searching for the gorillas begins at the spot where they were last seen yesturday. So the activity lapses between 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on your luck.
Importantly still, carry light snacks, picnic lunch, water and a walking stick. In addition, also carry light rain gears since Bwindi is a rain forest. Furthermore, an insect repellent is in important to pack.

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, drive to Lake Mburo national park arriving in time for lunch. Additinally, in the evening, join the boat ride on Lake Mburo where to see lots of water birds and wildlife. These come to drink at the shores of the lake.
Day 14 of Gorilla Trekking & Savannah Expedition Tour:
Salt Lick & Transfer to Kampala
Enjoy breakfast, you join the drive to the observation point. Of course to focus at the salt lick area. Enjoy another game drive as you exit the park. Finally, drive back to Kampala with a stopover at the equator for photos.
Other information for the trip
We recommend a morning flight so that there is enough room for you to rest from Jetlag. Gorilla trekking is without doubt the most thrilling African adventure safari activity. And Uganda swells of the best gorilla trekking, tracking and habituation experience. (You can find out also).
Gorilla trekking can easily be done in high / peak season. (June to September). However, it can still be done even in the drier months of December through February. The challenge is that trekking permits get outsold. Ceratinly, because of high demand and so some months, may actually go without permit.
The alternative though is that you can still do gorilla trekking during the rainy season. (March-May). There is availability of trekking permits for both Bwindi and Mgahinga. Besides, accommodation costs are also put at cut-rate.
